"SDM affirms and confirms your leadership and ministry roles,"

we are expressing two intentional actions:

1. Affirmation

Affirming means SDM publicly recognizes and supports your God-given calling, character, and commitment in leadership or ministry.

It’s a spiritual and relational act where SDM acknowledges that:

You have consistently demonstrated faithfulness, integrity, and fruitfulness.

You are walking in alignment with Biblical values and SDM’s vision.

Your ministry is bearing witness to God’s grace and purpose.

“When they had fasted and prayed and laid hands on them, they sent them away.”

Paul and Barnabas were affirmed by the church before being sent.

2. Confirmation

Confirming means SDM officially validates your position or role within its structure—this includes commissioning, issuing appointment letters, or giving recognition through titles (e.g., Pastor, Minister, SDM Leader).

This is both:

A spiritual endorsement (acknowledging God’s call), and

An administrative/structural endorsement (giving rightful standing within SDM's global framework).

The laying on of hands confirmed Timothy’s role.
