Excerpt 7 from The Chronicles of Wuhan (China) Journey: The First Wave

Wuhan City, China

Wuhan, the sprawling capital of Central China’s Hubei province, is a bustling commercial center uniquely divided by the Yangtze and Han rivers. The city comprises three districts — Wuchang, Hankou, and Hanyang — and is known for its many lakes and parks, including the expansive, picturesque East Lake. With a population of over 11 million (2018), Wuhan is a vibrant metropolis full of life and promise.

Why China?

Why did we go to China? Because the people there are so hungry for God. They long deeply for a tangible encounter with His presence and a heavy anointing.

Everything we did was done solely for the Lord. We traveled at our own expense, supported in part by generous brothers and sisters in Christ who cared deeply about this mission. Our primary goal was to respond to God’s assignments in His divine timing.

We went in full faith, trusting that God would provide and care for us — and He did, never failing even once! The hospitality and love shown by local pastors were remarkable. Praise God!

Each time we went, we didn’t know where we would minister. We submitted ourselves to local pastors, who arranged for us to minister in local house churches. All we knew was to go when God’s time came. Amen!

We understood our spiritual assignment even before we left. Like ambassadors for Christ, we carried His royal edict for that season. We were firmly grounded in our spiritual identity in Christ. Because of this, many wonderful things happened to the churches that opened their doors to us. It was awe-inspiring to witness the mighty move of the Holy Spirit when we allowed Him to have His way among His people.

Why Me?

I have often asked myself, “Why me?” I cannot speak Mandarin well — only English. There are many others who might be more eager or better equipped to go to China. So why did God give this assignment to me?

I have come to realize that when the Lord calls you, He never makes mistakes. He knows you intimately and uniquely equips you to fulfill the assignment only you can complete.

Do not focus on your shortcomings or limitations. Instead, consider it a great privilege that God has chosen you for such a divine mission.

GLORY TO YESHUA
