Our 3rd Trip to Wuhan: A Journey Led by the Spirit

In September 2017, my wife and I returned to Wuhan for the third time. A local pastor extended a heartfelt invitation for us to spend two weeks ministering there. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed into his home. His son graciously vacated his room for us, choosing to stay in a smaller space. At that moment, no formal meetings were planned—only a season of waiting and openness.

Soon, the pastor shared that he wanted to take us to a church in Guangshui, a two-hour drive from Wuhan. It was early winter, and the night was crisp and still. Prior to this visit, we had ministered to a lady disciple of the local pastor. She had been delivered from evil spirits and joined us as our worship leader during this trip.

The Guangshui church is an evangelical community with an astonishing 1-2 million members. We hosted a four-day anointing conference exclusively for the church leadership, gathering around 100 attendees. God’s goodness was evident as a powerful release of the five-fold anointing touched the people—spanning the Holy Spirit, business breakthroughs, family blessings, spiritual breakthroughs, and a double portion of favor. The leadership was deeply encouraged and ignited with fresh fire.

Throughout every meeting, God showed up without fail. The personal assistant to the Senior Pastor requested prayer for many lay leaders, and I was privileged to minister personally to five particularly difficult and serious cases. They waited eagerly, hungry for breakthrough.

Two days into our stay, an assisting pastor from this vast church network approached me with a question: Was what they witnessed truly the work of God? I told him that our coming had not been planned, but it was the Lord who orchestrated everything. He received this revelation joyfully.

In the days that followed, I saw this same pastor joyfully singing and dancing with his congregation—a beautiful testament to the Spirit’s move.

Every meeting bore clear evidence that the Holy Spirit was in control. Many were delivered from unclean spirits; countless others were touched and fell under the power of God’s presence.

All glory to Yeshua.
